Graphite
is a hard, abrasive material to machine that wears down and
dulls cutting edges with abrasion. Graphite does not form chips
when cut, but is removed in the cutting process in the form
of fine particle dust. Mold and die shops using graphite electrodes
in EDM mold making use DiaTiger® Diamond Coated end mills
as the best perfoming tool to machine their electrodes.
